For flooring installers
Turn the job you already know into a quote
Describe the work, quantities and prices in the same words you would send in a message. SquareTally turns them into editable quote lines, then you choose a branded PDF or one QuickBooks draft. Nothing is sent automatically.
The software organises your numbers; it does not invent them. If your description leaves a price out, that line comes back clearly marked and the quote cannot be created until you fill it in.
From a written scope to reviewed lines
Add the customer, choose whether the quote covers labor or materials, and describe the job. A line can be as specific as “Install 850 sqft engineered oak at $4.50/sqft” or a lump sum with quantity one. SquareTally separates the description, quantity, unit and rate for review.
Every line remains editable. Correct a description, change a quantity, add a missing item or set the rate yourself. The total updates from the reviewed lines, not from hidden assumptions.
Choose the output after the numbers are ready
For a document you can email yourself, add your company branding and download a PDF quote. Include the customer, project address, quote number, issue and expiry dates, tax, notes and terms. No accounting connection is needed.
If your books live in QuickBooks Online, connect your company and create one estimate draft from the same reviewed lines. It stays a draft until you open, check and send it in QuickBooks.
Prepare the contract after the quote
Upload your company's own contract template once. For each approved quote, fill the customer, project, agreement date, estimate number and contract price, then download a customer-specific PDF. You review it and upload it to DocuSign or another signing service; SquareTally does not send or sign it.

Questions installers ask
- Does SquareTally invent prices?
- No. A price is used only when you state it. Missing prices remain required and block output until you fill them in.
- Can I quote without QuickBooks?
- Yes. Download a branded PDF with your company details and logo. QuickBooks is optional.
- Can the quote cover labor or materials?
- Yes. Choose the quote type first, then review the description, quantity, unit and price on every line.
- Can I create a customer contract after the quote?
- Yes. Upload your own company template once, fill the customer and project details, then download a PDF to review and upload to your signing service. SquareTally does not send or sign it.
- Does Lite measure plans?
- No. Lite starts from quantities you already know. Choose Solo, Pro or Studio when the work begins with an architect's PDF.
